Guide for a manicure

Manicure is a way of taking care of your hands, fingers, and nails, giving you a

sense of relaxation, by using warm water, wet towel, essential oils, scented creams

and more and make you want to flaunt your hands and nails once you are all set.

You can go to a manicure salon and a manicurist will help with everything, right

from the oils, gels, warm water required to the clipper, towels everything. If you do

not want to spend tons of money in a salon and still have your hands and nails

pampered, you can follow the following steps and do it at home.

Step by step guide for a manicure at home:

1) Gather all the material required: as you are doing it at home, you will not

have the manicurist at your service to arrange things for you, and if you have

to get up in the middle of the process it is a vibe kill. So gather all the

material, cuter, clipper, nail buffer, cuticle pusher, filer, towel, a bowl of warm

water, cream or oil (according to your skin requirement), cotton balls, base

coat, top coat, nail paint, chilled water.

2) Remove traces of previous nail polish and clean your nail edges: if you had

nail polish on, or have any traces of nail polish left to remove it. Remove any

sort of dirt stuck between your nails or on the edges, clean your nails

properly, use cotton.

3) Cut/clip, file and buff your nails and push your cuticles behind: once your

nails are all clean you can clip them into the desired shape, file the edges for

a perfect finish in one particular direction. Use a nail buffer to buff your

nails gently and create a smooth surface. Use a cuticle nipper to push your

cuticles behind and apply a cuticle cream to keep them soft.

4) Soak your hand in warm water: this is the most soothing process you are

going to love it, just relax your hands in a big bowl of warm water, you

could add cream or baby shampoo to give it a gentle cleanse and while

the warm water does its work you can make yourself comfortable.

5) Moisturize your hands: once your hands are all soaked up, dry those with a

dry towel, then you can start with applying your favorite oils, and creams to

moisturize your hands and fingers. Take some time and massage your hands

and fingers gently, while you apply the moisturizer. For a finish swipe your

nails as well but with a moisturizer.

6) Apply nail polish: you know the procedure well when you start applying

nail paint starts with a base coat and let it dry, then go on to applying the first

colored coat, let that settle as well. If there is a need apply a second and

third coat of the nail color, once it is all dried up apply the top coat for a

finishing touch and a shiny look.

7) Soak your hands in cold water: once you are done with the application of the

nail paint, soak your hand in the chilled water, it helps the nail paint dry and

gives finishing to your manicure. You can use a wet towel and then a dry towel in the end.
