Painting and keeping your nails shiny is an essential part of looking good. You must take a few minutes off of your busy routine for yourself and do some nail-care. This way you are giving yourself the time and importance you deserve, your nails stay fit and shiny, it makes you look attractive and you feel good about yourself.
5 steps to nail care
Prep your nails:
the most essential step before applying any decorative item on your nail is to prep them, cut, clean, file them, get your nails into the desired shape-round, box, ballerina, stilettos, oval or lipstick, whatever suits the occasion and your outfit. Use a nail-cutter, thread and a filer to clean and trim your nails
Apply base coat:
Start with applying the Kafi base coat. Let it dry. The base coat is the transparent paint coat which helps the colour polish to stick easily and also creates a barrier between your nails and the paint which protects the nail from any damaging effect of the nail polish. It also prevents your nails from staining and peeling by having a grip on the coloured polish applied later. Hence applying a base coat before a colour coat is a must, it helps the colour stay longer and nails appear shinier.
Apply a thin coat of your favourite Kafi colour:
After the base coat is dry you can start applying your nail colour, choose a colour according to your outfit and the occasion. Start with applying a thin and light layer of coating, as it is the first coat and you will be applying more coats; make sure it is as thin and light as possible. Start applying from the centre and move slowly to the sides; avoid overlapping as it will create an uneven surface. Once you are finished let the colour settle.
Apply another generous layer:
Once you have made sure the first coat has dried you apply another layer of coating and this time a more openhanded layer. Use your nail-paint brush and generously take the colour from the bottle and start applying the colour, just the way you applied the first coat (starting from the centre and then moving to the sides). If this layer is not thick enough then you may have to apply another coat but before you move ahead always let the paint settle and dry.
Maximize shine with the Kafi Shine Top Coat:
Once you are satisfied with the look of your nails, it is time for the topcoat. It is a clear coloured polish formula similar to the base coat that is particularly used after applying the coloured nail polish. The topcoat acts as a hardened barrier for the nails which prevents the colour from chipping, scratching or peeling off. It also helps the underlying coloured paint to dry quickly.
Once you are familiar with the steps you are all set to shine. Go paint your mood, your day with your favourite Kafi nail colour.
